The 6 Days Rwanda Gorilla Tour gives you an opportunity to experience gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park, the chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe Forest National Park, culture and heritage encounter in Ethnographic Museum in Butare and the King’s Palace at Nyanza not forgetting beach relaxation and historical tour to the Kigali genocide memorial. Volcanoes National Park which is part of the Virunga massif inhabits 480 mountain gorillas, has ten habituated gorilla families that are ideal for tracking while the Nyungwe Forest National Park in the southwest supports 13 Species of Primates among which include the common chimpanzees and the Black and White colobus monkeys and a number of bird species
Day 1 of the 6 Days Rwanda Gorilla Tour: Arrive in Rwanda (Kigali International Airport) & transfer to the lodge
Day 2 of the 6 Days Rwanda Gorilla Tour: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park. Make a stop in Butare to visit the ethnographic Museum and Nyanza Palace en route
Day 3 of the 6 Days Rwanda Gorilla Tour: Do Chimpanzee trekking and afternoon Nyungwe Canopy walk

Day 1: Arrival at the Airport in Kigali
On arrival at Kanombe airport in Kigali, you will be received by our representative who will transfer you to your hotel. Dinner and overnight at Flame Tree Village (Deluxe) /Serena Hotel (Luxury)/Five To Five (Budget).
Day 2: Morning City tour and transfer to Volcanoes national park.
In the morning, you may opt for a city tour – visit the genocide memorial site, national museum, etc. After lunch enjoys a scenic drive to the Volcanoes national park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas.
Spend the evening at Iby’wachu Cultural Village where you will learn more about the Banyarwanda cultural practices and their tradition. Dinner and overnight at Mountain Gorillas view Hotel/ 5 Volcanoes Lodge (Luxury)/ Da Vinci Lodge, Gorilla Solution Lodge, Le bamboo Lodge (Deluxe)/Muhabura Hotel (Budget)
Day 3: Gorilla tracking and afternoon Nature walk.
This morning attend to briefs from the senior park ranger. The tour guide will transfer you to the starting point of the gorilla’s trail along with other trackers. Upon encountering the gorillas, spend at least an hour taking photography and observing their fascinating acrobatics.
Later return to your Hotel for Relaxation. In the evening, you may go for a cultural walk, where you will be entertained by the Banyarwanda community, or go for a nature walk to the lakes and caves. Dinner and overnight at Mountain Gorillas view Hotel/ 5 Volcanoes Lodge (Luxury)/ Da Vinci Lodge, Gorilla Solution Lodge, Le bamboo Lodge (Deluxe)/Muhabura Hotel (Budget)
Day 4: Dian Fossey Hike and transfer to Lake Kivu.
In the morning, you may undertake a hike up to the Karisoke research center, established by Dian Fossey. Learn more about the activities of Dian Fossey of mountain gorilla conservation. On return, you will transfer you to Lake Kivu. Dinner and overnight at Lake Kivu Serena Hotel(Luxury)/ Stipp Hotel/Paradise Malahide/Waterfront resort (mid-range).
Day 5: Transfer to Nyungwe.
In the morning after a relaxed breakfast, transfer to Nyungwe with en route stopovers for photography and lunch. Dinner and overnight at Nyungwe House(Luxury) / Nyungwe top view hotel (Mid-range), Gisakura guest house(budget).
Day 6: Chimpanzee trekking and Return to Kigali.
After breakfast transfer to the park headquarters for the briefing before embarking on chimp tracking; later transfer back to Kigali with en route visit to the King’s Palace at Nyanza, Butare Museums and Murambi Genocide Memorial Site.
